Turkey Call from Hell
This call is the 1996 Best of Show winner at the Grand National Turkey Call Competition, sponsored by the National Wild Turkey Federation. The box call was made from Burl American Walnut, and the turkey feet were carved from Eastern Red Cedar.
The call was purchased at the NWTF Convention by the late Lynn Boykin, who later donated the call to the NWTF. It is presently in the office of Robb Keck, at the Federation's headquarters in Edgefield, SC.
The toes of the feet were made to permanently grasp the box call, and the spur of the bottom leg protrudes through the bottom of the box. In the same manner, the spur of the top leg protrudes through the edge of the paddle. Priceless.
