Talkin' With Mr. Gibson

Talkin' with Mr. Gibson was created to honor the original patent holder of the box call.  I shaped the profile and tone chamber of the call in the classic Gibson shape.  The call is made of Burl American Walnut, and Osage Orange, or Bois 'd Arc woods.

On the paddle I carved a pair of hunters deep in conversation by a campfire.  A strutting Gobbler is the topic.  The standing hunter is holding court with the hunter seated on the stump.  The man seated has the apparel of a modern hunter, with a baseball style cap, and a modern shotgun.  His partner in the glow of the campfire is the venerable Henry C. Gibson, shown making a fine point about seducing the wily wild turkey.  Mr. Gibson is dressed in the fashion of the 1890's and is leaning on an era muzzle loader.  A classic "Gibson Box" underlines the scene.  $2500.00
