Talkin' With Mr. Gibson
On the paddle I carved a pair of hunters deep in conversation by a campfire. A strutting Gobbler is the topic. The standing hunter is holding court with the hunter seated on the stump. The man seated has the apparel of a modern hunter, with a baseball style cap, and a modern shotgun. His partner in the glow of the campfire is the venerable Henry C. Gibson, shown making a fine point about seducing the wily wild turkey. Mr. Gibson is dressed in the fashion of the 1890's and is leaning on an era muzzle loader. A classic "Gibson Box" underlines the scene. $2500.00 |
