This
Matched Set of Ten Calls was created to honor the ten most common Puddle
Ducks of North America. Each call was turned and then hand carved with
no mechanical duplication. Since the calls were all hand carved, there are
small differences in each call, but the viewer can easily see the set is
matched. A single plank from an American Walnut tree was used to create
the whole set. Flying pairs of Mallard, Black Duck, Northern Pintail,
American Widgeon, Gadwall, Northern Shoveler, Wood Duck, Blue Winged Teal,
Cinnamon Teal, and Green Winged Teal were carved in high relief, and then finely
painted with Acrylic paint. A hard Urethane coating was applied over the
paint, to seal the painting and wood. This is a one-of-a-kind set.
