Picking Up

Walnut. A pastoral scene of two hunters finishing the day, and getting
ready to leave the marsh. Carved in low relief on an absolutely stunning
piece of English Walnut, one hunter stands poling the skiff while he picks up
the decoys. His partner and their dog wait to be picked up beside the
marsh grass blind. Four flying ducks are carved on the shoulder of the
barrel, and the top of the stopper is stippled. The bold figure of the
wood looks like clouds, and the wood rays appear as sunlight shining through.
