At the Market

This scene is from the nineteenth century.  A market hunter holds up a couple of birds from his daily harvest on Main Street in front of "Freeman Brothers Mercantile", a general store.  A mule is harnessed to his duck laden wagon, and a fashionably dressed woman in a full skirt, apron, and a parasol beckons him to sell her three.  Is she the cook, or the woman of the house?  Look for the barrels on the walkway in front of the store, and the "Market Hunter Inn" sign down the alley.  The top of the barrel and the top of the stopper feature carved Oak leaves.  Beautiful Burl Myrtle.  Wax Finish.  $2500.00.  This call is not for sale, but I could make a similar call (with your name on it!).
