2007 NWTF Winner!
This call was the 2007 National Wild Turkey Federation winner of
Best of Show in the Grand National Decorative
Duck and Goose Call Competition. Kent S. Freeman was awarded the
2007 Callmaker of the Year trophy, and ribbons.
Burl American Walnut. The call features a carved tree and two carved Mallards on the barrel with a marsh scene at sunset painted in the background. In addition, two high flying Mallards were carved and painted on the stopper. The shoulder of the barrel and the top of the stopper feature carved oak leaves which along with the tree in the foreground of the scene were not painted to show the beauty of the wood. The carved birds, and background were painted with acrylic paint and the whole call was sealed with a semigloss urethane finish. Priceless.
