Pricing Information
As you might imagine, prices for carved birds will vary widely depending on the specie. Large bird carvings cost more than small ones! Life-sized carvings with World Class detailing are more expensive than life-size "smoothies". Carvings with habitat (a songbird requires somewhere to perch) are more, and so on.
In general, prices for decorative songbirds start at $1000. Decorative teal-sized birds start at $2500. Larger birds, like Wood Ducks or Mallards, start around $4000. "Smooth" (i.e., no carved details, like a working decoy) carvings are considerably less than "decoratives". Working duck decoys (painted like a gunning decoy) start at $500, and the same wooden decoys painted with fine detailed feathers, start at $1000.
